FREQUENTLy ASKED QUESTIONS
What can a Financial Coach do for me?

A financial coach helps their clients develop healthy behaviors with money so they can live the life they were meant to live. I can listen to your financial pain points, build your financial literacy, provide accountability, and offer hope that you can change your financial destiny.

What qualifies you as a Financial Coach?

Education-wise, I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) and a Master of Business Administration degree. I am an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC ®) and a Professional Financial Coach. Professionally, I spent nearly 25 years in private-sector Accounting & Finance. HOWEVER, I believe the things that qualify me most as a financial coach are:

-
My Passion for Personal Finance and Helping Others
-
My Personal Experience in Getting Out of Debt and Finding Financial Freedom

Where is AJ Moneycoach located? Do I need to be in your area to meet with you?

I'm located on the East Coast (Georgia), but I meet most of my clients virtually using Zoom Web Conferencing. This allows you to meet with me at your convenience from the comfort of your own home, via your mobile phone, tablet, or computer. I offer appointment times each week to accommodate multiple time zones. If you live in the local area and prefer an in-person appointment, I do offer that option.

What happens during a financial coaching session?

Once you schedule your session, you will receive an email that contains some forms for you to fill out and return to me at least 48 hours before we meet. This information will help me assess your financial position and understand your biggest concerns. I will gather resources for you and prepare recommendations that we will discuss during our session. We will use the session to tackle your biggest obstacles, learn some new tools, and fine-tune a plan that fits your needs. Within 48 hours after your session, I will email you a recap, your takeaways ("homework"), and a recommended plan for follow-up.
What DOESN'T a Financial Coach do?
A financial coach does not sell mutual funds, stocks, insurance, or debt consolidation products. I also will not give specific advice about investing or securities recommendations. I can refer you to professionals who specialize in investments, insurance, real estate, mortgage, bankruptcy, counseling, estate planning, and legal matters if we discover you need additional assistance in any of these areas.
